Project 02

2D Design

Box STL

How the box was imagined! Messed up the hinge here slightly by increasing the width of the top connectors. Fixed those with exacto knives later.

More of the Box(es)

The burnt box was a result of some unfortunate laser cutter settings. However, you can observe the evolution of the hinge mechanism here. Ideally, the idea was to have the connectors connecting the top plate to the wall be connected to both ends of the wall but due to friction and issues with folding the cardboard at such a tight angle, I had to employ some hot glue magic by attaching a side to the top.

Tubelight STL

Here, I decided to design the tube light from my dorm bathroom. Had to pull out the casing to observe the tubelight but was able to put it back in a single piece!

Attaching some static images since STLs don't communicate material and to highlight the internal connectors invisible in the above model. I was happy to make the connection pads work. Also saw some people were successful in embedding fusion viewers into their websites so I might do that in the future too!

Reed STL

Finally, here's my last model. I had a flute laying around from a music engineering class I took previously. I thought rebuilt it's reed in fusion, using a ruler to measure dimensions.
